Hi, My name is Lisa, and I am involved with a charity organization called HOPE worldwide San Diego - North Chapter, the benevolent arm of, The San Diego Church of Christ. We are a 501(c)3 organization. The project that I am currently working on started as we were collecting shoe boxes to send to the children in the Philippines. There are currently 3 Centers of HOPE supporting over 400 severely impoverished and abused children in the Philippines. These children are between the ages of 4 and 18. These children live in the surrounding communities and in some cases live in the center itself. While working on the shoe box project this year I learned that one of their wishes is to build up their library, which currently is almost non-existent.
I am writing to you to ask if you could find it in your heart to donate a book to our cause, as a gift to these children/teens.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

I am grateful for your time and consideration.
May God bless you.

I spoke with Ms Joan at the Atascadero Library. I love writing and would like to publish. Would you mind giving me a little in site. I did two book reviews for the newspaper and would send those to you. So you could get a feel for my writing.

What will your next book be about?

How do you decide what to write about? You use your life experiences often. Are you interested in an idea first and then pursue the research?

I hate to be picky, but, in Purple Daze, you a character listening to Janis Joplin on the radio in 1965. Janis was a college student in 1965 playing in coffee houses in Austin, TX. She would not have been on the radio until late 1967 after Big Brother and the Holding Company's first album came out. Sorry.

How old are you and where do you live?

Do you find that writing in verse is more similar to poetry or prose?

What was your favorite book you wrote?
