How do you decide what to write about? You use your life experiences often. Are you interested in an idea first and then pursue the research?

I hate to be picky, but, in Purple Daze, you a character listening to Janis Joplin on the radio in 1965. Janis was a college student in 1965 playing in coffee houses in Austin, TX. She would not have been on the radio until late 1967 after Big Brother and the Holding Company's first album came out. Sorry.

How old are you and where do you live?

Do you find that writing in verse is more similar to poetry or prose?

What was your favorite book you wrote?
